On my needles this snowy April evening

So you remember those two sweaters I made a while back, last year maybe? Well I had one skein of each left over and I am using them to make a tube scarf. I picked a scarf because I couldn’t knit a great big thing with only two skeins, and I wanted to practice more double stranded knitting. I chose a tube scarf because
I have always wanted to try my hand at a one ever since I saw a Fair Isle version at a local yarn store. I’m still a little nervous about making a whole Fair Isle version of something. There is something about knowing which colors to pick that seems more daunting than it should be. Black and white photos for contrast help for the win, but more on that later. In the mean time, these two colors work well together, so it was perfect!

I still have 1/2-2/3 of the skeins to go, so I will either need to get one more of each to finish it as a scarf, or sew the ends together and make a cowl. We’ll see how I feel about it once I’m closer to the end.
